As one of the oldest cities in the world, there are plenty of incredible places to visit in Athens, Greece. It’s a travel destination not to be missed for history lovers, with a vast array of majestic ruins to visit, including the world-famous Acropolis, the Ancient Agora etc. On top of that the city is home to quaint neighbourhoods, stunning viewpoints and museums, as well as being perfectly located for some fabulous day trips around Greece. Now I am going to share some viewpoints you have to visit when you go to Athens with you.

In those attractions entrance, you can see this bulletin board that tell you 2 types ticket, which there are respectively 6 euro for this attraction and 30 euro for ticket package that including 8 sceneries. Once you buy the ticket package, you just need to scan this QR code in the entrance.

1.Hadrian's Arch

Dionysus is the Greek god of wine and drama. The purpose of the theater was to show the god, that makes them joyful. Because people are afraid of god being angry. This theater was originally built in the sixth century BC, and later restored in the Roman period. The seats and walkways are very mature and can accommodate about 17,000 people.

5. Odeon of Herodes Atticus

The “propylon” refers to the entrance to the temple or hall. The front column is Doric Order, and the interior is more fancy style of Ionic Order

7. Parthenon

The Parthenon is the most well-known in Acropolis.

8. Erechtheion

The temple of Eriktion on the top of the mountain facing the Padnen Temple. The building has three parts. The exterior is still intact. The Ionic structure is dedicated to Athena and Poseidon. It is used to worship different gods. Like a general temple, only one kind of god is worshipped.

9. Acropolis hill

The Acropolis Hill is one of the commanding heights of Athens, and you can see where the New Acropolis Museum is.

Witnessing the world-famous monuments with my own eyes always feels very disappointing at present, because the monuments in Greece are not well preserved. But I still think it’s amazing that I can see it through my eyes, for the vicissitudes of the millennium history.
